W.I.T., June '08

Activities > 2007/08

On Wednesday 4th. June the shoool went to the W.I.T. in Waterford. It was a long drive but when I think of now it was well worth it . When we got there we were given name tags. It also told you what group you were in. I was in group 4.
First we went outside and went to a race track for the K.M.X bikes. It was raining but it was even better in the rain anyway. Then we came in and had lunch and got changed. While we were eating all the activities were being inflated.
Next we did the ladder race. It was funny because half of the team that I was on slid on their tummys. Then Paul from the other team went upside down and still managed to get a point for his team. Next we went to human fussball. We were put into teams. Me and Maryclaire went on the wrong team by mistake but we won 6-2. Then we got more lunch. After lunch we got divided up into teams for target practice. We had to shoot balls, bean bags and tennis balls .The red team won one match. The blue team won the other two matches. Then we did bean bag toss and for every 100 it landed on you get an extra minute. We got 10 extra minutes on the obstacle course and Aine and Patrick lost their shoes about 4 times on it. It was so funny because every time they came out they were missing a shoe. On the course I raced Gerard, Aine, Fiachra and Patrick. I beat Aine because she lost her shoe at the ladder and I beat Fiachra and Patrick but Gerard beat me. It was the best fun I had in ages. We went to the bus and headed back to Ballingarry.
THE END.

On Wednesday the school went on the school tour. We went to W.I.T. in Waterford. The first thing we went on was the KMX bikes. They were so cool! We got really wet so we changed our clothes and had some lunch. While we were eating music came on. After lunch we had to climb up a ladder and it was shakey. Paul was hanging on with his feet but he still scored a point for his team.
Then we went on the human fussball. We were put into teams and someone had to go in goals and someone had to go forward and someone had to be a defender. The other team won. I was a defender and I was in goal for a while. Then we went for some lunch and after that played some crazy golf. I got a hole in one. Our team was Tipperary and the other team was Man Utd. In the end we went on the obstacle course. I was racing Mary-claire and Shannon.
