On the 27th of November our school St Joseph's participated in the 'Big Sing'. We sang along with a load of other schools to a song called 'You Gotta Be'. We brought in €1 for Special Olympics. It was on at 2:45 and 'Today FM' counted down from five on the radio.
They wanted to double the number of singers they had last year. As far as we know we doubled it which would be a record for the largest number of people singing a song simultaneously. We are very proud that our school was a part of the 'Big Sing' today.

Today was no ordinary day at St Joseph's NS, Ballingarry because today we did the Big Sing. We were joined by schools from all over Ireland and the UK. We were tuned into Today FM waiting for the countdown. It began at 2:45. we started to sing 'You Gotta Be'. We did it for Childline. When we stopped singing we heard on the radio that we had broken the record we went mad. The teachers were very happy because we put so much effort into it. We went home to tell our Mammy and Daddy.

Today on the 27th November our school entered the Big Sing. When I got up I got ready for school knowing that by the end of the day me and my school might be proud record holders.
I got to the school and made a start to the school with music. we played Christmas songs. The day passed quickly and around 2:00pm we went down to the prefab. The radio counted over 600,000 children to break a world record. We sang. When the song was over our school together with schools all over England and Ireland had broken a world record.
