The Hallowe'en Party by James McGrath (4th Class)
The Hallowe'en party was on in the HOUSE OF DEATH!!! AH HA HA HA! Cool! I always wanted to use my evil laugh. So now back to the story....
....It all started on the 30th of October at half past four. When I got the post there were lots of bills and one envelope with my name on it. I opened it and in it there was a letter saying 'Hallowe'en Party Tomorrow Night. It starts at 11:30 sharp so be there!' And there was a ticket. What on earth was that for? So off to bed I went...wondering!
ZZZZZZZ...
The next morning I woke up......OOOOOHHHH Hallowe'en party tonight. All day I was bored out of my shorts...until the 11 o'clock news came on. This ugly guy came on. His name was Jimmy Jones. He said that he saw a lot of monsters at the House of Death. I thought 'Uh oh'.
Half an hour later I was at the party. I went in to find a monster party. Some monsters didn't speak English. There was a lot of sweets. You would not think that Vampires are good dancers now would you.....they are!
Guess who put on the party? MY MUM!!! There was a ghost drinking 7Up but it came right through him. My mum thought that he had an accident.
I now call the House of Death the Boogie House. And I won a Hallowe'en costume out of the ticket and a holiday to Disneyland in Florida.
Spoooooooooooooky by Fiachra Scott (4th Class)
One Hallowe'en I was out 'trick or treating' with my friends when suddenly one of them, John went missing! We all thought that the Puca got him but he was only behind a bush trying to scare us.
Then we heard a noise up above us. We could see a broom and thought that a witch would be on it but she wasn't on it. The noise was from the witch falling off the broom. Sadly she didn't die.
We were passing the scary graveyard and someone pushed us in. We didn't know who it was. We turned around but we couldn't see because of all the fog. It was the boogie man but he was gone then.
We were all scared because we were in the graveyard. Then a zombie came out of nowhere and we ran for our lives. We all tripped and fell into a hole. We thought we were dreaming (but we weren't) when we saw some skeletons doing a boogie. Oran joined them but then came after us until their bones came apart. Then fireworks started to go off and they set off a mummy. Keith unwrapped the mummy. Then a ghost came and started to fight the mummy. That was freaky.
We were shocked. We were afraid of dying. We ran and ran but I tripped and hurt my leg. Conor and Paul helped me to get up. Jack frightened all the spooks away.
Haunted Cottage by John Clancy (4th. Class)
Once upon a time there was an old cottage. It was up on a hill. It was Hallowe'en night and the clouds were covering the moon. I went to inspect the cottage with Niall and Ronan who were staying the night at my house. When we got to the top of the hill we went in the gate. All around the house there was barbed wire. The gate creaked really loudly when we went in. The door opened by itself.
Niall found some cottage cheese and then a big spider crawled up his leg. Ronan ran away. Then it got worse!!! A zombie jumped up and grabbed me but I kicked him in the face (I used to do Taekwondo). Then me and Niall ran up the stairs. Ronan came back by jumping in the window but then a devil came and boxed Niall in the nose. We ran out of the house and straight home.
The next day we came back with a gun and some explosives. A mummy caught me. He brought me away from Niall and Ronan. I asked him what he was when he was alive and he said 'I was a plasterer'. I noticed then that he was wearing an ipod and I asked him what his favourite song was and he said 'Band Aid'. Then I jumped out of his grasp and ran back to Niall and Ronan and we blew up the cottage. Sadly Niall lost his cottage cheese.
Be Wary Of The Scary by Claire Egan (2nd. Class)
It was Hallowe'en night and a group of children had gone 'trick or treating'. They never knew that three hundred years had passed and they also didn't know that when three hundred years had passed Hallowe'en would be cursed for that one night!
Suddenly the children heard a laugh that seemed to be coming from the sky. The children looked up to see a witch and a warlock and a few wizards to guard them. The children were terrified. the witch and the warlock sent their guards down to catch the children. Everyone got caught except for one little girl. She had to save her friends but how could she?
She went to Harry Potter for help and they made up a spell and she learned how to ride a broomstick. Soon she was off to find her friends. She brought her sisters as well (in case of a battle). They made it to the castle. They sneaked in a window. They sneaked up the stairs and saw the girl's friends in great danger! Immediately they started the battle but then the guards caught them. Before they were killed they were thrown into a dungeon.
Suddenly the little girl remembered the spell. As soon as the witch and the warlock came over to kill them she put the spell on both of them and they died.
Immediately the guards thanked the children and let them out of the dungeon and agreed to live with them at the castle.
The Spooky Story by Keith Cleere (4th. Class)
It was Hallowe'en night. I was in the old haunted graveyard house. The man who owned the house is dead now. There I was standing just standing there and next thing I heard a noise. I ran for the door but it was locked. I thought to myself 'What would I do?' I heard another noise. I saw a stairs and ran up. I heard a creak so I stopped and looked. I saw a shadow. I said 'Hello' but there was no answer. The shadow came closer. It was a zombie but not just one...there were loads.
I ran down the stairs as fast as I could. When I got to the bottom there were more and there was a vampire too. He went to get me but I dodged him. I found a crowbar and hit him with it. He died but the zombies were still there. What would I do?
I ran through them swinging the crowbar but none of them died. When I got to the door I hit it twice and it opened. I ran out into the graveyard. All the graves were dug up from the zombies. one of the zombies from upstairs jumped out the window to get me. I fell into a grave. The zombies were now just behind me. I got out and ran out the gates and down town. No one was outside. I could hear nobody.
I went into my house. There was nobody inside. I ran to my room and locked the door. I was inside for a long time. Suddenly the door handle started to move. I got out the window. Then I got a shovel from the shed. I went back to the graveyard and the zombies followed me. I hit them with the shovel and they all landed in the graves. I quickly shovelled clay onto the graves so nobody could get out.
Now everything was ok in the graveyard but where had everyone gone? When I went home my mother and father were watching tv. My two brothers were playing the Playstation. I asked them where had they gone but all they would tell me was that it was a 'long story'. It was a mystery.
The next Hallowe'en there were no zombies or any scary things. All there was were fireworks and children looking for sweets. I was up 'til twelve o'clock looking for sweets. I was so fat the next morning I couldn't fit out the door. I took a year to lose all the fat. I was stuck in my room for a year trying to lose weight.
