Bill O'Dwyer

Curriculum > 2009/10 > S.E.S.E.

Local man Bill O'Dwyer has been a farmer all of his life. He has also worked for Teagasc for many years giving valuable advice to the farmers of the area. He very kindly agreed to talk to the children about his experiences down through the years.

Yesterday (Feb 2nd) at two o'clock Bill O'Dwyer came to our school to tell us about farming years and years ago. He has been the head of the farming around this area for more than 40 years. He told us about how machinery came into farming. He started farming when he was only 10 years old.
